APRA Mission

Our mission is to unite restaurant industry in Pakistan and safeguard, protect, and promote their rights, interests, and privileges. We serve as a bridge, enabling restaurants to voice their concerns to Federal and Provincial Governments or other relevant legal authorities to address grievances. We are committed to ensuring the provision of high-quality, hygienic food and the implementation and enforcement of food laws.

About APRA

Key Initiatives

APRA has organized numerous initiatives to raise awareness about food hygiene, quality standards, personal hygiene for food handlers, responsible purchasing practices, and efficient kitchen management.

In both 2019 and 2023, APRA successfully hosted the ‘APRA Customers Choice Awards’ to recognize and appreciate the best-performing restaurants across various categories. The awards aim to promote food and service excellence through healthy competition, increase restaurant recognition through customer votes, and inspire staff to provide exceptional service based on guest feedback. The general public also plays an important role in voting and having their voices heard.

In addition, APRA is working with the Ministry of Planning & Development, Government of Pakistan, to promote and market Pakistani cuisines internationally.

Support for Members

APRA’s district committees assist members with challenges they face with government departments such as the Sindh Food Authority, law enforcement agencies, KMC, TMC, and others. We advocate for restaurants and caterers across multiple platforms, raising their concerns and promoting solutions.
